Balancing Act

Don’t you hate it when you run into somebody who is always on the take? Yeah, me too.

I have to admit that I am a bit of a noob when it comes to the Twitterverse. I am starting to get it but clearly there are people out there with more time and talent than yours truly.

In the short few months I’ve been active on Twitter, I have managed to amass a following of sorts. To be exact I have 733 followers as of this post. When I looked at how many people I was following I was shocked to realize that I had 980+. Wow that means I am following a lot of people who are not giving me the time of day. Remember those takers I mentioned at the beginning?

So I went on a search for a way to balance things a bit.

I was also looking to have less junk hit my Twitter account.

Then I stumbled upon this little tool….

The very simple web app. connects to your account and will provide you with a full list of everyone you are following and not returning the favor. You simply highlight the offenders and then silently remove them from your list.

Now there are only 50 people of my choosing that I am following without expecting anything in return….except a useful short message now and again.

By the way, the tool also allows you to check if you have people on your list that are following you but you are not following them. It is always nice when you can return the favor.
