From time to time I find something in my cyber-travels that really brings everything into focus. My good friend and marketing guru Julie Braun, of Julie Braun Design would call this an “Ah-Ha” moment.
With this in mind, I wanted to share the following:

Have you seen those commercials with Gary Coleman for some company called Cash Call that makes unsecured loans? I was looking at the terms in the small print at the end of the commercial, and holy cow, I didn’t even think this was legal.
They say on a loan of $2600 the interest rate is 99.25%. That’s right; 99! Not 9.25%, but 99.25%!! The terms they list are 42 monthly payments of $216 and change. So at the end of 42 months, that original $2600 has run you over $9000! Usury!

You need a Greyhound
There, I said it. You need a Greyhound. Not just ‘you really should consider getting one’. Not just ‘you ought to look into it someday’. No, YOU NEED A GREYHOUND. And not just any Greyhound, but a retired racing Greyhound.
I never knew I needed one until we got one. When we did, back in 2003, I guess you could say I saw the light. What had I been missing out on all this time? Who ever could have guessed that to find the perfect pet you’d have to look at the one breed of dog that basically knows NOTHING about being a pet?
Morgan, our first Greyhound, came home to us when she was two. I had some real trepidation about adopting an adult dog. In my life, all the dogs who’d come into my life had done so as puppies. How difficult would an adult dog be? Well, as it turned out, the answer was, not at all.
The Arizona Republic and Yahoo are reporting that scientists made a major technical breakthrough in Alzheimer’s research.
Apparently researchers have found a human gene that may very well predict a person’s chances of being afflicted with the debilitating disease. The name of this gene is GAB-2.
